Week 1 of The Children's House of the Low Country Montessori Preschool
This week our new friends, Carolynne, Heaven, and Tate had fun getting to know each other. We worked on grace and courtesy with each other in our new environment. We had lessons on sharing work, having snacks and lunch together. We had lessons in practical life with pouring, spooning, and thonging, We also had a lesson on how to carry a tray with work on it, and how to run and unroll a work rug. We had a lesson on the pink tower and yellow knobless cylinders and how the cubes and cylinders range in order from largest to smallest, and on bugs. We played outside in the mud kitchen, chalkboard, car track, and just digging in the dirt!
The children had such a great first week! Thank you, Abby and Carolynne for the new flower work and playdough.
